The Witching Hour

The Autumn Winter ‘19 Collection takes inspiration from John Keats’ poem of the same name. Looking into local folklore and superstition; prints are made from hand-drawn illustrations of gatherings, deep within the tangled willows, of supernatural beings combined with celestial symbolism to create our own Toile De Jouy. Bell sleeves and lace trimmed collars taken from Pagan clothes are re-imagined for the contemporary ‘witch’ in mini dresses with silver eyelet trims and cropped velvet jackets.

Little Women

The Spring Summer ‘19 Collection is inspired by the novel ‘Little Women’ and looks at American folk art and antiquities from the Civil War. The unique prints are created from a mixture of all the symbols associated with this period; nights around the fire hand embroidering and cross-stitching handmade dresses, writing poems and love puzzles; with little printed cross stitches holding each print together in the Heartfelt Shaker Dress.

Nomad

The Autumn Winter ‘18 Collection looks at Nomadism with an emphasis on layering up garments for warm. The colours are taken from Autumnal forests for camouflage. These are complimented by unique prints which are inspired by gathering different textiles together to make garments from old bits of printed fabrics that might have been found on a journey to create an eclectic collage of floral, stitched, block printed imagery.

Retro Renaissance

The Autumn Winter ‘17 Collection encapsulates a ‘Retro Renaissance’ feel, also the eras’ shapes andsymbolism. Find the ‘Biba Eye’ alongside the 16thC embroidered florals trimmed with copper glitter vinyl. Taking colour inspiration from jewel tones in renaissance paintings and those reflected in ‘Biba’ clothes and interiors, this collection captures the glamour of both eras in clashing prints and textures with luxurious silk velvets sitting alongside mock-croc tan leather and crochet knits.

Bronte

The Autumn Winter ‘16 Collection looks at the novel Wuthering Heights and takes inspiration from the purple hues of the Haworth Moors and the romance, superstition and death surrounding the Victorian novel. Misty grey wool tweed is paired with heather shot silver coloured silk velvet and etched with Emily Bronte’s story in copper foil. The faded print showcases antique Victorian amulets painted with the mourner’s eye, trimmed in copper silk.
